Lady Panthers Work for Win vs. Westminster

GREENVILLE, Ill.- The GC Volleyball team scored another SLIAC win against Westminster, sweeping the Blue Jays 3-0.

GC played hard and, with match scores of 25-19, 25-20, and 26-24, they earned the sweep.

Offensively, the Panthers were strong with Nicole Schaffer recording 14 kills and both Tricia Gall and Corinne Coon recorded 11 kills each for GC. Ansley DeVrieze added 6 service aces for Greenville and Ellen Lueking had 45 assists in the match.

In addition to the team's impressive offense, their defensive efforts were outstanding as well. Schaffer had 19 digs while Schollenbruch and Lueking added 13 each. The Lady Panthers did not allow the Blue Jays to win a set and took the match in just three.

Greenville's current record is 19-7 (13-1 SLIAC). The women play again Tuesday, Oct. 23 when they take on Principia on their home court at 7:00p.m.
