Men's Basketball dropped at Elmhurst

ELMHURST, Ill. -- The men's basketball team got 15 points from Michael Hohm and double figure scoring output from three others as they were defeated 92-75 by Elmhurst.

Elmhurst led by 10 at the intermission and extended the double-digit advantage in the second half.

The Panthers shot under 40 percent from the floor, hitting 21-of-54 shots. Elmhurst made their shots at a 52.4 percent clip. Greenville knocked down 27-of-34 free throws.

Elmo Smith came off the bench to tally 12 points. Andrew Scott had 11 points, and Ron Harris produced 10 points.

Scott was the game's leading rebounder with 11 caroms.

Stevonte Young passed out four assists, and Hohm collected five steals.

In addition to being outshot by Elmhurst, the Panthers gave away seven more turnovers than the Blue Jays (26-19).

The Panthers (0-1) return to action Wednesday night at Lindenwood in St. Charles, Mo.
