ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The men's basketball team saw their season-opening conference winning streak snapped by Webster as the Gorloks took a 73-56 win. Ron Harris had 13 points and nine rebounds to lead Greenville.

The Panthers only shot 30 percent from the field, and that sealed their fate as the squad made just 18-of-60 shots. They hit 4-of-15 three pointers and shot well from the free throw line, knocking down 16-of-18 charity attempts.

Stevonte Young returned to the floor after missing time due to injury and posted 11 points in a reserve role. Brian Ehresman passed out four assists, and Michael Hohm had three steals.

The Panthers (8-5, 5-1 SLIAC) fell to second place, just a half-game back of Spalding who Greenville defeated in December. The men return to the floor Wednesday at Fontbonne in an 8 p.m. contest.
