Men's basketball nipped at MacMurray

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball kept the game close but fell short as they were defeated 118-113 by MacMurray on Wednesday night.
Tim Daniel posted a team-high 28 points to finish as Greenville's leading scorer.
Kenny Greene came off the bench to post 20 points.
Andrew Scott produced eight rebounds, Johari Dix added six assists, and Shane Smith had five steals.
Greenville forced MacMurray into committing 31 turnovers but saw themselves shoot at a 43 percent rate while MacMurray made the most of it's chances with 60 percent of field goal attempts made.
The Highlanders led the Panthers 65-58 at halftime.
The Panthers (2-10, 1-4 SLIAC) host Fontbonne on Saturday at 3 p.m.
