Men's Soccer Drops Tough Match to Wheaton

WHEATON, Ill.-- The Panthers took on No. 16 ranked Wheaton College on Friday night and fell 3-0 to the Thunder on the road.

Wheaton got on the scoreboard in the 27th minute with a goal by Adam Blackman. Greenville held the Thunder to 1-0 heading into halftime.

Despite a determined Panther defense, the home team would score twice more in the second half, once in the 53rd minute with a finish from Jordan Golz and once again in the 90th minute with a shot by Chad Musgraves. The game ended 3-0, Wheaton.

This brings the Panthers' record to 1-4-3. They play again on Wednesday, September 25, when they return to their home field to take on Washington University-St. Louis at 7:00pm.
