FULTON, Mo.--The Panthers traveled to Fulton, Mo. to take on the current SLIAC leader, Westminster College. Despite many promising opportunities for the Panthers, a late Blue Jay goal meant a 1-0 GC loss.

Westminster's Ty Cook scored in the 82nd minute when a free kick was sent into the box and crossed to Cook, who headed into the net.

"We fought hard in what was an even contest," Greenville head coach, Chris Swift explained. "The disappointing thing is to lose a game like this on a set piece. We have to maintain our concentration for the full 90 minutes to get these results."

GC 'keeper, Thomas Crown, made 5 saves in the match. The Panthers recorded 6 total shots in the match.

The heartbreaking loss brings Greenville to a 6-8-3 (5-2 SLIAC) record. Greenville will play again on Tuesday, October 29 when they host Fontbonne at 5:00pm. Tuesday's game is the Panthers' senior night where thirteen men will be honored.
