JACKSONVILLE, Ill. -- The men's soccer team used a game-winning goal from senior Jordan York as the Panthers rolled to a 4-0 win over MacMurray on Saturday.
Greenville led 1-0 at halftime and received second half markers from Richie Hershkowitz, Spencer Pulliam, and Jon Adams to give them breathing room.
Pulliam and Brent Lehr posted assists.
Thomas Crown earned a shutout as he posted four saves.
"It wasn't pretty, but we got the 3 points today," said head coach Chris Swift. "I was happy with how we responded in the 2nd half, and how we kept them under pressure to put the game away."
"It is good to keep Jordan York scoring, nice to get Spencer going, and really happy for Jonathan Adams to get his first collegiate goal. With the other results around the SLIAC today, it really places an added importance to Wednesday's game with Fontbonne."
The Panthers (8-6-1, 4-1 SLIAC) travel to conference leading Fontbonne on Wednesday for a match at 8 p.m.
