Men's Soccer topped by Millikin

DECATUR, Ill. -- The men's soccer team was shut out on Wednesday, falling 2-0 at Millikin. Goalkeeper Jose Mondragon had eight saves for Greenville.

Millikin scored early, putting the ball in the net in the 23rd minute.

Greenville held off Millikin until the 63rd minute when the Big Blue added a second goal.

The Panthers produced nine shots in the contest.

Jon Adams and Brent Lehr tallied shots on goal.

"Millikin is a solid side, who outplayed us tonight.," said head coach Chris Swift. "We were able to learn a lot about certain individuals, and we were able to get a lot of guys in the rotation tonight, so that is a positive."

The Panthers (5-5-1) host Westminster on Saturday at 7 p.m. in a matchup of conference leaders.
