GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's soccer team rebounded from their first loss of the season with a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Illinois College on Saturday night. Senior Spencer Pulliam posted a goal and assist.

Illinois College led early, sneaking a shot past Greenville goalkeeper Thomas Crown in the eighth minute.

Pulliam scored the tying goal in the 65th minute and later assisted the game winning goal by Dillon Czech with 4:53 remaining in the game.

Crown picked up 13 saves as he stymied the Blue Boys attack.

Jordan York had five shots for Greenville.

"We showed great character tonight to come back and find a way to win," said head coach Chris Swift. "IC is an experienced team that returned all 11 starters from last year, and our young team showed they are ready to compete at this level."

"IC came out hard, scored an early goal and maybe should have had another if not for some big saves from Thomas. We challenged the guys at halftime to match their work rate and intensity, and we came out a different team in the second half and really turned the tables. We showed a grit and determination that bodes well for the future!"

The Panthers (3-1) travel to Washington University for a match against the Bears Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
