Men's tennis tops North Central in dramatic fashion

HILTON HEAD, S.C. --The men's tennis team started their spring break trip with a 5-4 win over North Central on Monday. Code Power and Jon Urshan picked up three of Greenville's wins as they won their doubles match and both singles matches.
The Panthers started very slow in doubles, losing two of the three doubles matches.
Code Power and Jon Urshan won No. 2 doubles, to keep the Panthers in the match headed into singles.
Nate Wieland, Jon Urshan, and Code Power all won in straight sets in singles at the No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 spots.
North Central won at No. 4 and No. 6 in straight sets.
Freshman Justin Tilford was trailing 6-2, 4-1 in his match at No. 5 singles. He refused to give in, and fought back to win the second set in a tiebreaker. He clinched the match for the Panthers with an emphatic 10-3 win in the supertiebreaker.
The Panthers (5-2) face St. Thomas and Loras on Tuesday.
