Men's track and field competes at North Central and Augustana

The men’s track and field team sent several competitors to North Central and Augustana and saw five men finish in the top eight positions within their events.

Greenville was led by Andrew Sharp who won the 800 meter run at North Central with a time of 1:50, just nipping the second place finisher by less than one second.

At the Augustana meet, David Martin completed the 110 meter hurdles in 17.65 seconds to rank fourth.

Treyvon Manning took fifth place in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 55.47 seconds.

Manning earned sixth in the high jump with a mark of 1.95 meters (6 feet, 4.75 inches).

Phil Wilsman threw the javelin 50.25 meters (164-10) in his eighth place finish.

Two men, Jarrid Williams and Sharp, are expected to participate in the NCAA national championships next weekend on behalf of Greenville College.
