Men's track and field takes 23rd at Washington - St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The men's track and field team received point-earning marks in three events as Greenville picked up eight points to place 23rd at the Washington - St. Louis Invitational.

Treyvon Manning was sixth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 58.59 seconds. The performance gave Greenville three points.

Jarrid Williams placed fifth in the triple jump with a best mark of 13.86 meters (45-5.75) as he got four points.

Chris Crawford was eighth in the hammer throw with a high of 50.26 meters (164-11).

Other notables performances came from DaJuan Johnson who was ninth in the shot put with a mark of 14.65 meters (48-0.75).

Mitchell Hooten threw the discus 40.05 meters (131-5) as he was 12th.

Dusty Atteberry posted a 46.73 meter (153-4) distance in the hammer throw to place 10th.

The Panther are slated to compete at Saint Louis University on Friday and Saturday, April 8 and 9.
