Men's track and field wins three events at qualifying meets

NAPERVILLE and ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The men's track and field team had three event-winning performances as they competed at qualifying meets at North Central and Augustana.

Bruce Gray won first place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.26 seconds.

Andrew Sharp was the victor in the 800 meter run as he completed the event in 1:51.33.

The 4x100 meter relay team that included Terran Daniels, Gray, Jonah Peoples, and Jarrid Williams posted a time of 41.10 seconds.

Peoples found himself sixth in the 110 meter hurdles with a mark of 14.98 seconds. He was seventh in the preliminaries, finishing in 15.084 seconds.

Bryan Waugh earned seventh place in the hammer throw as he came up with a distance of 51.13 meters (169-1) to improve on his seeding mark of 51.10 meters.

The men's track and field team will await an announcement from the NCAA on its qualifiers for the national championships.
