Men's track and field wraps up fourth at NCCAA nationals

ROME, Ga. -- The men's track and field team was led by running event performer of the meet Bruce Gray as Greenville brought home 76 points and a fourth place showing at the NCCAA national meet.

Greenville collected five national titles, accounting for 50 of the 76 points.

Gray headlined Greenville's efforts with first place in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and 4x100 meter relay. Gray joined teammates Jarrid Williams, Terran Daniels, and Jonah Peoples for the relay title.

Gray obtained a mark of 10.52 seconds in the 100, winning by one hundredth of a second.

Gray took the championship in the 200 with a time of 21.49 which was three hundredths of a second better than the runner up.

In the relay, Greenville won by three tenths of a second with a 41.55.

In other events, Andrew Sharp took the 800 meter run honors with a 1:51.80 mark.

Bryan Waugh won the hammer throw with a distance of 50.12 meters.

The Panthers will next compete in Last Chance meets as they gear up for the NCAA Division III nationals.
