Men's volleyball concludes inaugural season at 16-11

DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The inaugural men's volleyball season concluded Saturday with a four-set victory over Loras. The Panthers won 25-23, 25-23, 21-25, 25-23 to push them into the seventh place position in a 14 team conference.

Nicolas and Daniel Bilinski continued their offensive feats as they each provided 15 kills.

Tanner Smith provided 41 assists.

Andrew Johnson totaled 17 digs as he solidified their defensive efforts.

Johnny Milabu added one solo block and three block assists.

The Panthers jumped out to a two set advantage before Loras rallied to force a fourth set. Greenville hit a set-high .300 in the first set as they picked up 12 kills and just three errors in 30 attacks.

Greenville (16-11, 6-7 MCVL) finished alone in seventh place in a solid opening season. Their six conference wins came against Marian (WI), North Central, Fontbonne, Loras, Olivet, and Adrian. Their only lower division loss came at Wittenberg. Greenville competed well against the upper six teams in the conference, taking a sets against top 10 Benedictine (IL).
