Men's Basketball Fall Behind Early, Falling to Westminster

FULTON, Mo.-- The GC Panther Basketball team suffered another tough road loss, losing to Westminster 87-62.

Alex Mumphard, Todd Albertson, and Jordan Smith were the offensive leaders for the Panthers, with Mumphard scoring 13 points and Albertson and Smith each contributing 11 points.

Mumphard and Albertson also led defensively for GC. Mumphard finished the game with 9 rebounds and a steal, while Albertson recorded 7 rebounds and a block.

Westminster was led by Verdis Lee, who scored 23 points and had 9 rebounds in the game.

This game brings Greenville's record to 8-13 (3-9 SLIAC). The Panthers will be back in action on Saturday, February 9, when they take on Spalding at home. The Golden Eagles are at the top of the SLIAC with a record of 11-1 and GC hopes to pull off the upset for the home fans.
