Men's Basketball Rallies, Nips Blackburn by Four in SLIAC Action

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball team won their second game in a row, defeating Blackburn 77-73 on Saturday afternoon. Markeith Brown and Jonas McBride led the way for the Panthers netting 17 and 16 points respectively.

Ben Giertz was Greenville's leader in rebounds with eight, and K.J. Hilliard and Joe Redmond led the team in assists with three each.

Greenville trailed with the score of 44-35 at the half but fought back in the second half and held off Blackburn in the end to pull out the 77-73 win.

Greenville's record improved to 5-5 (1-2 SLIAC) on the year, and the Panthers will pick up again next week at Westminster College on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 8 p.m.
