Men's Basketball Returns Home, Tops Eureka 89-75

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball team snapped a three-game losing skid with a solid 89-75 win over Eureka Thursday night.  The Panthers' (6-4, 2-1 SLIAC) starting unit provided the offensive firepower in the game, headlined by Andy Traeger who posted 24 points.  Jonas McBride added 16 points, and Obinna Agomo and K.J. Hilliard each had 15 points.

The Panthers jumped out to a commanding 50-33 lead at halftime, but Eureka (0-11, 0-4) battled back, cutting the deficit to just a few points on several occasions.

Both teams shot 50 percent or better from the floor, but Greenville made 55 percent of its three-point attempts to counter Eureka's 28.6 percent mark.

Rashod Seaton and Hilliard were Greenville's top assist men with five each.  McBride added four assists and three steals.  Agomo tallied a team-high nine rebounds.

The Panthers return to the floor Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. as they face Principia at 3 p.m.
