Men's Soccer Defeats Defiance 3-0

DEFIANCE, Ohio -- The Greenville College men traveled to Defiance College to play in the Purple and Gold Classic this weekend. The men's season started with a bang as they overtook the home team 3-0.

Junior transfer Robert Wright got the Panthers on the scoreboard early with an impressive unassisted goal. Wright's impressive run from the back of the field was the lone goal in the first half, taking the Panthers into the scond half on top 1-0.

The second half proved to be even better for GC. Two minutes into the half, sophomore, Spencer Pulliam added to GC's lead with a goal assisted by Junior, Jacob Krisher. Greenville continued their success as freshman Justin Mulholland assisted sophomore Jordan York for an impressive strike that brought the score to the game's final, 3-0 Greenville.

The men play again tomorrow against Alma College at 2:00pm EST.
