Men's Track and Field 7th out of 17 at SLU

ST. LOUIS, Mo.-- The GC Men's Track and Field team traveled to St. Louis University to compete in the St. Louis Billikin Invite April 12-13. The team finished in 7th out of the 17 teams that competed, with impressive performances from many Panther athletes.

Josh Kuusisto continued his winning ways, coming in 1st place in the discus throw. His 59.63m throw earned him 10 points for Greenville.

Bruce Gray, a sophomore that has also made a habit of impressive performances, came in first place in the 200m dash and second place in the 400m dash. Gray crossed the finish line in the 200 at 21.65 and finished his 400 with a time of 49.35. Gray earned 10 points in each of these events, adding a total of 20 points to the Panther total.

The 4x100m Relay team also saw success for GC. The team of Josh Garcia, Gray, Treyvon Manning, and Ryan St. Hill finished fourth with a time of 42.77, adding 8 GC points to the board.

Greenville's other relay team, in the 4x400 Relay, came in 8th with a time of 3:27.77. Manning, Branden Niehaus, Ikeem Mattison, and Bobby Williams earned 3 points for GC.

Adam Kammler, Bobby Williams, Anthony Everett, Ben Barber, and Mattison also earned points for GC in their prospective events.

Greenville finished with 54 points, putting them in 7th place overall. The team will compete again on Friday, April 19 at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Meet.
