Panther Soccer Crushes Eureka on Homecoming

GREENVILLE, Ill.--The Greenville men's soccer team had a dominating Homecoming performance, beating Eureka College 7-0 in SLIAC play.

Dusty Knoll recorded four goals, leading the Panthers in scoring. Jacob Krisher added another two goals for GC in the match. Ryan Haas also notched one more goal for Greenville to bring the score to 7-0.

Krisher scored the game's first goal in the 14th minute. Just three minutes later, Haas put a header in the back of the net. Krisher then scored again, this time from an assist by Jordan York. Knoll found the back of the net twice in the 31st minute and the score was 5-0 GC at halftime.

In the second half, Knoll scored twice more, once in the 67th minute and again in the 68th minute, to bring the game to its final score of 7-0.

Panther goalkeeper, Thomas Crown, earned the shutout.

The home victory improves GC's record to 5-7-3 (4-1 SLIAC). The team will take on Blackburn College on Wednesday, October 23 in their next match.
