Panthers and Music and Food, Oh My!

Panther Palooza takes to the Greenville town square for its second year of Homecoming fun!

The palooza keeps the party going after GUs annual Homecoming parade. Palooza 2019 features live entertainment, games, and food from 5 p.m. to midnight on the town square on Friday, October 18.

Alumni musicians will keep the music stage jumping throughout the evening. Performers include:

  • Clayton Jones, winner of St. Louis Sound 2019
  • Russ Mohr
  • Steph Plant
  • A special performance by the GU Jazz Band

Kids (and the young at heart) will keep busy with a bouncy slide, face painting, balloon animals, and games. The over-18 crowd can test their mettle against the human foosball court and rock-climbing inflatables. Other Palooza perks include the GU Panther photo booth and commemorative Homecoming T-shirts for sale.

No party would be complete without plenty of food vendors! In addition, the restaurant on the first floor of The Greenville SMART Center will debut its fare with a food sampling, offering partygoers a first look at Greenvilles newest eating establishment.

"We are eagerly anticipating a great turnout for Panther Palooza this year, with more alumni, more town folk, more entertainment, and more fun!" says Manager of Alumni and Church Relations Cyndi Oglesby '85.

The Homecoming parade will follow a new route this year, ending near the site of Palooza festivities. The parade begins at 4:30 on the north end of Hena street, travels south to College Avenue, then travels west on College, ending at First Street, just a block from Panther Palooza.

Register for Homecoming and join us for a night of festivities October 18!
