Paul Reese Appears on Millionaire

Published: April 13, 2021

Paul Reese, a 2008 graduate of Greenville College, will appear on today's episode of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire," hosted by Meredith Vieira. Reese is a musicologist, but works as a financial sales consultant at PNC Financial Services.

Reese, a former choir member, graduated from GC with a CCM degree and departmental honors. Also a member of the honors program, Reese wrote an undergraduate honors thesis that compared popular and classical worship music. His comparative essay focused on the Australian Hillsong movement and Bach's chorales. After graduating, Reese completed his master's of music coursework at Western Illinois University, where he studied musicology and choral conducting. His thesis is currently under review.

His strengths on the Gallup StrengthsFinder test taken by all GC students point to Reese's natural affinity for trivia. He said, "My strengths of input and connectedness both help a lot with trivia, in terms of being able to value information, develop connections between different pieces of information and organize information for future recall."

After participating in an open audition for the show in Philadelphia, where he now resides, Reese was invited to appear on the show as a contestant on October 21, 2012. The episode will air today. If it has been a few years since you last viewed the show, Reese says that you should know the show is played by different rules now. Several previews have been posted to the show's Facebook page.

Alumni should check their local listings for information on how they can tune in to see Reese's appearance on the all-new "Millionaire." We will follow up with an interview with Reese once the episode has aired.
