Perfect Game, Week’s Performance Garners Laubecher SLIAC POW Honors

GCs Jessica Laubecher, a freshman from McCordsville, Ind. (Mount Vernon Twp.), has been named the Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 2-8.

Laubecher retired 21 straight batters in game one of the Panthers double header versus Eureka College to record her first career perfect game. She struck out four batters and Greenville won 6-0. Laubecher came right back and threw a complete game in game two, giving up only one run on six hits and recording three strikeouts. Against Webster University she had a perfect game through five innings, and finished with six strikeouts and the 2-1 victory.
