Ruffner leads women's track and field with first place in high jump

MONMOUTH, Ill. -- The women's track and field team got a first place performance from Sierah Ruffner as she led a group of six entries that ranked in the top four at Monmouth on Saturday.

Ruffner cleared a height of 1.64 meters in her event-winning mark.

A group of one individual entry and two relay entries placed second in their events.

Chelsea Gilles completed the 400 meter dash in 58.41 seconds as she was second.

The 4x200 meter relay completed their race in 1:52.23 for second place, and the women's distance medley finished in 13:52.72 as they were second.

Greenville brought home two fourth place marks. Rachel Hanna cleared 2.91 meters in the pole vault, and Sydney Porter propelled to 5.02 meters in the long jump.

Qualifying members of the team will compete at the NCCAA national championships next weekend.
