Scotty Voyles Awarded Pitcher of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo.-- Greenville's own Scott Voyles has been named the Diamond Sports Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 22-28.

Voyles,a senior from Crisp, Ill. (Wayne City), had an impressive week on the mound, earning saves in all the games he entered.

Voyles set GC's career saves record, earning his 13th against Eureka. He went 4-for-4 in save opportunities this week, pitching a total of 4.0 innings, recording a total of three strikeouts and allowing just four hits while on the mound. The Panthers earned a 4-0 record this week, defeating Principia College, 7-5, and sweeping their three-game series against Eureka College with scores of 4-1, 4-2, and 8-5.
