SLIAC Softball Announces Post-Season Awards; Elbe Nabs Top Honors

GC was recognized in post-season SLIAC honors, with Shannon Elbe earning a spot on the First Team. Greenville had three players recognized for their outstanbing play; Elbe, Darci Sample, and Andrea Martin.

Shannon Elbe was awarded a spot on the All-SLIAC First Team. The freshman outfielder had 41 hits in her 105 at-bats. She hit 6 home-runs, 8 doubles, and had 23 RBI over the course of the season. .421 batting average in SLIAC play, putting her 8th in the Conference.

Senior, Darci Sample was recognized as the Second Team All-Conference catcher. She recorded 7 RBI, 13 hits, and 6 total runs this season.

Andrea Martin recieved an honorable mention. The freshman played first base for the Lady Panthers and had an impressive .444 batting average. Martin hit 10 doubles, 4 home-runs, and earned 23 RBI throughout the season.

Whitney Newsom was awarded All-Sportsmanship Team honors.
