Softball beats Westminster 6-1

GREENVILLE, Ill. --Tiffany Samsoe went 2-for-3, helping the Lady Panthers to a 6-1 victory over Westminster on Saturday in Greenville. She singled in the fourth and fifth innings.

Hannah Burger was a workhorse in the circle for the Panthers. Hannah allowed one earned run, seven hits and one walk while striking out one over seven innings of work.

In the fourth inning, Westminster College pushed across its only run of the day on an RBI single by Rai'An Harris.

The Panthers went up for good in the fourth, scoring two runs on a two-run double by Andrea Martin.

The Panthers added four more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Mattie Fairchild started the inning with a single, bringing home Shannon Elbe. That was followed up by Tiffany's single, scoring Bryn McKie and Mattie.

Greenville improved to 12-5 (5-0 SLIAC) with the win.
