GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The softball team came out on top in two games against Blackburn on Tuesday. Greenville rolled to two mercy-rule victories as they defeated Blackburn 13-1 in five innings followed by an 8-0 win in six innings.

Laney Thacker was 1-for-2 with two runs and three RBI in game one as she homered.

Tiffany Samsoe had two hits, two RBI, and a run scored.

Shelby Cash was 3-for-3 with two runs scored.

Caitie Opp was the winning pitcher as she only allowed three hits and one earned run.

Greenville got a six-inning shutout from pitcher Brianna Anderson in game two's win.

Cash posted two hits and two runs scored.

Samsoe went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.

The Lady Panthers (12-12-1, 7-1 SLIAC) host Washington - St. Louis on Thursday.
