CLERMONT, Fla. - The softball team picked up two wins on Monday as they defeated Oberlin 13-2 before Caitie Opp's no-hitter gave Greenville a 6-1 win over Wisconsin - Platteville.

Oberlin Recap

After falling behind 2-0 in the second inning, the Lady Panthers cut the deficit in half with one run in the third. The team exploded for five runs in the fourth on a two-run single by Anaya Tobiason, a two-run single by Laney Thacker, and an RBI single by Bryn McKie.

McKie ended the game with two extra-base hits.

Greenville increased their lead with two runs in the fifth and one in the sixth.

The Lady Panthers built upon their lead with four runs in the seventh. The inning looked promising, as Thacker singled, scoring Tobiason to kick things off. That was followed by Helms' double, plating Shelby Cash.

Brianna Anderson's dominant, six-strikeout performance kept Oberlin's offense at bay. Anderson allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk over seven innings.

Wisconsin - Platteville Recap

Catie Opp was untouchable on Monday, throwing a no-hitter in Greenville's 6-1 victory over Wisconsin - Platteville.

Opp struck out four batters and walked none while recording her momentous feat. She got Dakota Stout to strike out for the final out of the game.

It was a good day at the plate for the Panthers' Anaya Tobiason.

Tobiason went 2-for-2, drove in one, and scored one run. She singled in the second inning and doubled in the third inning.

The game's lead went to the Lady Panthers thanks to a second inning rally that saw five runs cross the plate on two doubles, an error, and a single by Opp.

Platteville scored its only run of the game on an error in the sixth inning.

With the two wins, Greenville improved to 5-7. They face St. Catherine and Luther on Tuesday.
