Sprinter Alex Gregory to Represent Greenville at NCAA Championships

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- A 24.59 second sprint at the NCCAA national championships on May 1 has obtained freshman sprinter Alex Gregory an appearance in the 200 meter dash at  the NCAA championships this week.

Gregory will compete in the preliminaries of the event at approximately 6 p.m. (7 p.m. ET) on Thursday, May 22, at Ohio Wesleyan in Delaware, Ohio.  If she advances to the finals, they would be at 3:25 p.m. (4:25 p.m. ET) on Saturday.

Gregory enters the meet with the nation's 11th ranked time.

Gregory's appearance in the NCAA outdoor championships is Greenville's first since sending Penny Grant, Philita Johnson, and Kristen Schutte to the event in 2012.
