The RECORD Fall 2014 Takes Stock of GC from A to Z

The latest RECORD begins the new school year with a bird’s eye view of Greenville College through 26 stories, one for each letter of the alphabet. From cover-to-cover, the quick read includes articles about students, alumni, faces on campus and programs new to GC.

Not to be missed are stories about innovative alumni who have changed the world:

  • The pediatric cardiologist whose models of hearts help surgeons plan their work
  • The wilderness preservationist who crafted legislation so strong that it stands largely unchanged 50 years later
  • The materials engineer who designed the tread system for wheels on the “next generation” lunar rover
  • The production manager who set the stage for U2 to shine in a live performance on top of New York City's iconic Rockefeller Center

Readers will also learn about the hidden meaning of traditions like the tug-of-war at All College Hike and the mindset of GC’s newest community members – the Class of 2018 – for whom cursive writing holds little relevance, but who know the value of Java.
