Todd Albertson Nabs Player of the Week

GREENVILLE, Ill.--Greenville College's Todd Albertson was awarded the SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors for December 3-9 after coming off the bench with three impressive performances last week.

Albertson, a forwardfrom Pekin, Ind. (Eastern), has been named the Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of December 3-9.

Albertson, a sophomore, averaged 9.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.3 steals last week, while averaging just 20.3 minutes per game. He went 3-of-4 (.750) from the field, had four rebounds, and grabbed two stealsin GC's111-40 victoryover St. Louis Christian College. In the games that followed, Albertson recorded back-to-back double-doubles with 11 points and 16 rebounds in the Panthers' 15-80loss to Mid-Continent, and 11 points and 11 rebounds against Missouri Baptist University, in which GC lost 80-76.

Albertson's 16 rebounds against Mid-Continent tied the school record for rebounds in a single game, impressive accomplishment, especiallyin only 25 minutes on the court.He added four steals in each game and had two assists as well.
