Two Chances to Hear Greenville College Jazz Band

Just back from their inaugural spring performance tour in Branson, Mo., the Greenville College Jazz Band is excited to present their final on-campus concert of the semester, "Jumpin' at the GC Side."

Join them Tuesday, May 14, at 7 p.m. in the Whitlock Music Center for an evening full of boogie-woogie, swing, and Latin jazz.

The following Friday, May 17, the jazz band will be "In the Mood for Dinner and Dancing" from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at Cunnetto's Restaurant and Banquet Room in Greenville. Enjoy a dinner out, and enjoy a USO-style night of free music and dancing. Don't dance? That's fine: order dinner and listen to the music with just your toes tapping along.

The Greenville College Jazz Band is a traditional big band made up of sixteen performers representing all fields of study. It is under the direction of Professor Will Fairbanks, who since his arrival at Greenville College in 2010 has developed the band programs at GC to include a 55-piece concert band, the Greenville College Panther Corps marching band, the basketball pep band, and the jazz band.
