Two State Champions Headline Set of Commitments

The Greenville College football team is excited to announce the third batch of students that will be attending Greenville College in the fall. Headlining the are a two-time Missouri 6A state champion and a Illinois 7A state champion.

High School: Trinity Catholic Titans
Position: LB
Awards: All-Conference
Major: Graphic Design
Coach Rode, Tremayne is going to be a great fit for this program. I am excited to have him commit to attend Greenville College in the fall. Tremayne is going to bring a great work ethic and a lot of intensity to our team. He is going to have a huge impact on this school and football program because of his character and work ethic."
Don Smith Jr.
Hometown: Pittsburg, CA
Junior College: Los Medanos College (CA) Mustangs
Position: WR
Awards: Offensive Player of the Year, Team Captain
Major: Pre-Law
Coach Mingo, We are very excited Don has chosen Greenville. His athleticism and play-making ability will help our offense out tremendously. Don also possesses great leadership qualities and a strong desire to do his very best in all things. He will be a very influential player in the program.
Nick McClendon
Hometown: Black Jack, MO
High School: Hazelwood Central Hawks
Position: LB
Awards: 2008, 2009 Missouri 6A State Champion
Major: Pre-Engineering
Coach Schomaker, We are very excited to have Nick join our program next year. Nick knows what it takes to be successful as he comes from one the best high school programs in the state of Missouri. During his junior and senior seasons at Hazelwood Central Nick helped his team to a combined 26 2 record including a state championship in 2009 and runner up in 2010.
Demarquo Sanders
High School: East Saint Louis Flyers
Position: WR
Awards: 2008 7A Illinois State Champion
Major: Elementary Education
Coach Gaylord, We are very excited to have Demarquo here at Greenville College next fall. He will be the next great student athlete that comes from East Saint Louis high school. He has shown himself to be very motivated and focused on his goals at the next level. I believe Demarquo will be a huge asset for us over the next four years.
Paul Perugini
High School: Crescenta Valley Flacons
Position: QB
Awards: JV Offensive Player of the Year
Major: History and Political Science
Coach Mingo, Paul will be a great addition to the Greenville College Football program at the quarterback position. Paul has a real good arm, and also possesses great mobility which will fit in nicely with our offensive scheme.
