Volleyball Drops Close Match to Buffalo State

ST. LOUIS, Mo.-- The Lady Panthers took on Buffalo State University and lost an intense 5-set match 3-2.

Greenville lost the first set 25-23, took the second and third sets 26-24 and 25-17, and fell in the fourth and fifth sets 25-20 and 18-16.

Joelle Scholten led the team in points scored, finishing the match with 23. Scholten recorded 22 kills and 6 digs. Corinne Coon, Nicole Schaeffer, and Ellen Lueking were also impressive for GC. Coon tallied 21 points, 19 kills, 2 aces, and 9 digs. Schaeffer was credited with 12.5 points, 10 kills, and 33 digs. Lueking ended the night with 59 assists.

The Lady Panthers current record is 22-6 (15-1 SLIAC). They will play again tomorrow, November 2, when they take on Eureka College at 11:00am.
