Volleyball falls to No. 7 Washington

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The volleyball team hosted No. 7 Washington - St. Louis on Tuesday night and fell short in three sets. Junior libero Jamie Schollenbruch led Greenville with 18 digs.

Washington limited Greenville to 18 points in the first and second sets, and Greenville came up with 20 points in the third.

Offensively, a trio of Panthers posted five or more kills, led by Nicole Schaeffer with seven. Allyson Mitchell and Savannah Sells chipped in five kills each. Ellen Lueking provided 22 assists.

Sierah Ruffner was solid at the net, picking up one solo block and four block assists.

The Panthers (7-5) travel to MacMurray on Saturday where they square off with rival Webster at 11 a.m. before concluding with Blackburn at 1 p.m.
