Volleyball falls to Spalding

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The volleyball team lost a tight four set match to Spalding on Saturday morning. Senior Nicole Schaeffer led the Lady Panther offense with 14 kills.
Greenville lost the first two sets 25-20, 26-24 before taking the third set 25-19. Spalding took the final set 25-19.
Sierah Ruffner produced 10 kills, and Allyson Mitchell came up with eight kills.
Ellen Lueking provided assists on 40 kills.
Jamie Schollenbruch led the defense with 13 digs, and Marissa Erwin had one solo block and one block assist.
The Lady Panthers (21-8, 15-2 SLIAC) conclude conference play on Tuesday at 7 p.m. against Eureka. A win would give Greenville an outright SLIAC championship and hosting responsibilities for the conference tournament on Saturday.
