Volleyball Hires Krystine Schnautz as Assistant Coach

Published: April 13, 2021

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The Greenville College volleyball team has announced the hiring of Krystine Schnautz as its new assistant coach.

Schnautz is a 2012 graduate of Lincoln Christian University with a bachelor of arts in intercultural studies.

At Lincoln Christian, she was a four-time NCCAA All-American, an NCCAA academic scholar, four-time NCCAA all tournament team member, and the 2008 NCCAA national most valuable player.

Coming out of high school, Schnautz was offered several NCAA Division I scholarships, but she wanted to play at a Christian school. Her college and club experience will make her a tremendous asset to the program.

"Krystine is not only an excellent volleyball player, but an excellent person," said head coach Tom Ackerman. "She is a perfect fit for our program, and I know she will have an immediate impact on our success on and off the court."

"Words cannot express my excitement to serve with the Greenville volleyball team," said Schnautz. "I feel so blessed to be involved in a top notch program that is centered around Christ and building relationships. My fianc Carl and I have been praying for God to reveal the next steps in our journey, and we could not be more thrilled that He has led us to Greenville. From the moment we stepped onto campus, we have felt welcomed and loved. We are so thankful for this opportunity!"
