Volleyball wins two at MacMurray

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. The volleyball team kept their perfect conference record alive with two wins on Saturday at MacMurray. Greenville defeated conference rival Webster in five sets in the days first match before sweeping Blackburn in three sets.

Savannah Sells produced 19 kills and Nicole Schaeffer had 17 kills in Greenvilles win over Webster. Ellen Lueking provided 44 assists.

Jamie Schollenbruch totaled 28 digs in leading the Panther defense. Sells tallied two solo blocks and three block assists.

Greenville won the matchs first, fourth, and fifth sets in their 25-16, 26-28, 17-25, 27-25, 15-11 win.

The second match of the day saw Greenville cruise to a 25-13, 25-16, 25-14 victory.

Sells came up with a team-high nine kills and two blocks in the win as she produced 11 points. Kirsten Laune provided 18 assists.

Schollenbruch posted another solid defensive effort, thwarting 13 Blackburn attacks for digs.

Hannah Baker totaled three service aces.

The Lady Panthers (9-5, 4-0 SLIAC) continue conference play Tuesday at home against MacMurray at 7 p.m.
