Women's basketball alone in second place with 61-58 win over Iowa Wesleyan

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa -- The women's basketball team recovered from an eight-point fourth quarter deficit as Coley Baker hit a bucket and free throw at the end of the game to lift Greenville to a 61-58 over Iowa Wesleyan.

The game was deadlocked 12-12 after the first quarter, and Iowa Wesleyan took a 24-20 lead to halftime. Iowa Wesleyan outscored Greenville 21-17 in the third quarter and actually held an 11 point lead at one point before the Lady Panthers came back.

Missy Deal led the Greenville squad in scoring with 17 points. Baker and Maria Reinhard each gave Greenville nine points. Baker also added six rebounds and four blocked shots.

The Lady Panthers (17-7, 13-4 SLIAC) have clinched the number two position in the SLIAC tournament and will face Eureka on Saturday at 1 p.m. in its final regular season game leading to the conference tournament at Westminster.
