Women's Basketball Clipped by Iowa Wesleyan

Published: April 13, 2021

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's basketball team received 17 points, eight rebounds, and nine blocked shots from sophomore Coley Baker, but it was not enough to top regular season conference champions Iowa Wesleyan as the Lady Panthers fell 62-56 on Saturday.

Greenville's shooting was off target as they only hit 34.3 percent of their shot attempts and only hit 3-of-25 three-pointers. Iowa Wesleyan hit 5-of-15 three pointers and 15-of-21 free throws to top Greenville's totals.

After the game, the Lady Panthers honored senior Emily Gundy for her career. Gundy scored 13 points in the game before picking up her fifth foul.

The women (9-15, 6-11 SLIAC) go for their 10th win of the season on Tuesday when Principia visits Greenville for a 6 p.m. contest.
