Women's basketball comeback falls short

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The women's basketball team mounted a come-from-behind effort to tie the game with less than four minutes to play but couldn't get over the hump as Fontbonne won 59-52 on Wednesday night. Laura Goodnight had 21 points and seven rebounds to post game-high's in both categories.
Greenville trailed 27-12 at halftime.
The Lady Panthers were outshot in the contest as Fontbonne made 42.6 percent of its shots to Greenville's 16-of-53 (30.2 percent) mark.
Greenville knocked down 7-of-24 three pointers and 13-of-16 free throws.
Joining Goodnight with double figure scoring was Taylor Paulin who had 12 points on four three-pointers.
The Lady Panthers (5-7, 2-4 SLIAC) host MacMurray on Saturday at 1 p.m.
