Women's basketball defeats Principia

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's basketball team kept pace with Iowa Wesleyan as they set up a Saturday showdown with the Tigers as Greenville rolled to an 88-32 victory over Principia. The Lady Panthers outscored Principia by more than nine points in each period as Taylor Paulin secured a game-high 22 points.
Greenville jumped out to a 19-10 first quarter lead and extended their lead to 44-15 at halftime. After three periods, Greenville was up 68-22.
The Lady Panthers sparkled in their offensive efforts, making 36-of-60 field goal attempts and 9-of-13 three pointers.
Coley Baker added 16 points and six blocked shots.
Kelly Lenz put together a solid all-around game with seven rebounds, six assists, and six steals. Maria Reinhard added seven assists.
The Lady Panthers (10-4, 6-1 SLIAC) host Iowa Wesleyan on Saturday in a match up for the top position in the conference standings.
