Women's Basketball Falls to St. Mary-of-the-Woods

JACKSONVILLE, Ill.--The Lady Panthers traveled to MacMurray College to compete in the MacMurray Classic and lost 90-79 in their first game of the tournament. GC was lead by Emily Gundy, who contributed 20 points for her team.

Gundy had the team high in points scored, followed by Jamie Schollenbruch, who put 13 on the board.  Coley Baker led the team in rebounds, collecting 9 for the Panthers, and recorded two blocks. Claire Schmitt had an impressive 5 steals in the game.

St. Mary was led by Ja'Breena Gardner, who had 18 points and two steals.  Stephanie Moore added 7 rebounds for the Pomeroys.

As a team, GC recorded 19 assists, 35 rebounds, and 10 steals in the game. The Panthers went 14-20 from the free throw line.

Greenville will play again tomorrow, December 14, in their second game of the tournament.
