LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Paced by 13 points and two steals by senior Emily Gundy, the women's basketball team was able to keep the contest close but ultimately dropped Tuesday's game 60-52 at Spalding.

Both teams had a difficult time putting the ball in the hoop as both teams made just 33 percent of their shot attempts. However, Greenville was 0-of-15 behind the three point arc compared to Spalding who shot just under 24 percent with four three-pointers.

The contest saw a three point Spalding advantage at halftime, and the Golden Eagles extended their lead in the second half and took the game by eight points.

In addition to Gundy's 13 points, Coley Baker had nine points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots. Miranda Murray also posted nine points and chipped in five assists. Taylor Paulin contributed a team-high nine rebounds.

The Lady Panthers (4-8, 1-4 SLIAC) travel to Eureka for a game Thursday night at 6 p.m.
