Women's cross country earns all-conference honors

HILLSBORO, Ill. -- The women's cross country team earned St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference all-conference honors following the championship meet.  Two women were on the first team and the team received the sportsmanship award.

Greenville College took second place in the race as Molly Works followed up last year's third-place finish with a second-place finish this year, finishing the course in a time of 23:22. Joining Works in the top ten was teammate Brooke Goodyear, placing seventh with a time of 23:39.  These positions earned them slots on the all-conference first team.

Shirley Estes of Greenville was the Lady Panther entry on the All-Sportsmanship team.

The Lady Panthers were attempting to defend their conference championship but were edged out by Spalding by a single point.
