Published: April 13, 2021

BELLEVILLE, Ill.--The Lady Panthers could not keep the Lindenwood-Belleville Lynx from clinching the win in the game's final minute and fell 2-1 on the road.

Lindenwood's Jessika Stiehrscored the game's first goal with just seconds left in the first half. The Lynx were up 1-0 heading into halftime.

In the 67th minute, GC's Maureen Murphy sent a corner kick deep into Lynx territory and Kelsey Panzau put the ball into the back of the net. Panzau's goal brought the game to a 1-1 tie. With just one minute left in regulation, Lindenwood's Gabrielle Jones scored an unassisted goal that gave the Lynx the 2-1 victory.

Goalkeeper, Heidi Koehl, was credited with 8 saves in the match.

The Panthers' record now stands at 2-7. The team's next match will be played on Saturday, October 5 when they travel to SLIAC rival Webster University for an important Conference match.
