Women’s track and field places three in top nine at Monmouth

MONMOUTH, Ill. The womens track and field team participated in a meet at Monmouth on Saturday and came back with three performances ranking in the top nine of their events. Greenvilles 800 meter relay team posted a fourth place performance.
The 4x200 team of Iyeesha Deberry, Melody Fenton, Michaela Harris, and Josie Muniania completed the race in 1:54.63 in taking their fourth place position.
Deberry also posted a ninth place mark in the 60 meter dash as she crossed the line in 8.34 seconds, improving on her preliminary result of 8.35 seconds.
Molly Works was the winner of the second heat in the one mile run, and her time of 5:36.72 was good for ninth place.
The Lady Panther qualifiers will compete Friday and Saturday in the NCCAA indoor national championships at Cedarville.
