Women's volleyball falls in match at Westminster

FULTON, Mo. -- The women's volleyball team squared off with a solid Westminster squad and were sent away with a 25-21, 25-23, 25-18 defeat.

Despite exceeding their season hitting percentage by nearly 10 percent, Greenville could only earn 29 kills in the match.

Savannah Sells was Greenville's top attacker with nine kills in 21 attempts, a .381 rate.

Kirsten Laune produced 24 assists.

Greenville outhit Westminster in the second game, putting down 40 percent of its attacks for kills.

On the defensive side of the net, Jamie Schollenbruch posted 10 digs, and Riley Hannula added one solo block and four block assists.

The Lady Panthers (15-7, 11-1 SLIAC) host Iowa Wesleyan on Friday at 7 p.m.
